Pondering Bigfoot

I've returned to my cryptozoology kick where I read a ton of books about all cryptids and other hidden goodies. And I've finally noticed something. There are a lot of Bigfoots. A LOT. If you look through the many different Bigfoot and Bigfoot-like sightings, you'll notice that it just isn't going on in the USA. And what I mean by Bigfoot-like creatures is that they all share the same trait: they are hairy, ape-like humans. However, they vary in size from being around seven feet to even two feet tall.

Bigfoot-like creatures have been seen all around the world:

The Agogwe in South Africa, the Almas in Mongolia, the Barmanu in Pakistan, Bigfoot in the USA and Canada, the bondegezou in Indonesia, the chuchunaa in Siberia, the mapinguary in South America, the marked hominid (seen all over the world), the momo of the USA, the ngouoi rung of Cambodia, the nittaewo of Sri Lanka, Old Yellow Top of the USA, the orang pendek of Sumatra, the proto-pygmy seen around the world, Sasquatch of the USA and Canada, the skunk ape of Flordia, the teh-lma of the Himalayas, the True Giants of USA and Canada, the ucu of South America, the xing-xing of China, the yeren of China, the Yeti of Nepal and Tibet, and finally the yowie of Australia.

That is over 20 different types of Bigfoot-like creatures, ranging from all over the world, all different sizes and different appearances. Different tracks and different head shapes.

How could there be so many sightings of, basically, the same creature all over the world?

It is similar to dragons, in a way. Dragons (considered mythology nowadays) are shown in ancient art around the world. However, they aren't as wide spread as Bigfoots. So what I wonder is this: How can so many people deny its existence?

Sure, I'll admit that a large percentage of Bigfoot-like creature sights are usually hoaxes or just people who can't figure out that they had just seen a bear or other common wildlife animal. But, how can one explain the different creatures seen around the world?; that had been SEEN around the world for centuries?

There are cave paintings with big, hairy men, local legends of them. They are everywhere. And yet we can't even find them.

Maybe the government is hiding them. Maybe the Bigfoot-like creatures are hiding. But, I have one theory that makes sense to me...

There have been stories around the world over the centuries of hidden cities and underground worlds. Some even think Atlantis joined the underground world and that Sedona, Arizona in the USA has a hidden city underneath, abandoned from time. Could it be possible? Perhaps so, perhaps not.

So, why couldn't Bigfoot live underground? If there really are hidden worlds within the earth, wouldn't you hide there if you were a Bigfoot-type creature? And the actual sightings could just be people seeing a scout or two looking for food on the surface. As for the ones in the jungles... the jungles of the world are really, REALLY big, thick, and dangerous.

There are also theories that the Bigfoots are actually desendents of the Cro-magnon man or Neanderthals, who went underground as the modern human began to expand their territory.

You can't just say that they don't exist when you haven't dug through every single inch of a massive jungle or a large forest or even in underground tunnels. Then again, you can't say that they do exist. You can't really say anything. All one can do is guess.

In the end, one can't deny that Bigfoot-like creatures are seen all around the world. They are living hidden in the jungles, forests, and perhaps even underground. One could say that they are waiting to be found. But what I wonder is, should we even bother finding them?
